Technica seeks to fill the position of Electronic Technician Maintenance II at Fort Bliss, TX.

Duties:

  • Perform basic or routine tasks following detailed instructions such as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes and specialized testing systems.

  • Perform bench and on-site maintenance receiving technical guidance from supervisor or high-level technician(s).

  • Apply basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems using technical manuals or similar documents.

  • Works under close supervision of supervisor or higher level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.

Requirements

  • A basic knowledge of electronic systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, good skills troubleshooting electronic circuitry, and systems.

  • Basic experience troubleshooting, and repairing or operation of military and or commercial electronics and communications equipment such as; Night Vision Devices, SINCGAR Radios, power supplies, thermal imaging systems and weapon sights desired.

  • Knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Form 2407, 2407-1, 5988, and 2404 and other DA or DoD related forms.

  • Must have physical endurance to work for prolonged periods in cramped, poorly accessible sites when repairing or servicing installed equipment.

  • Physical effort requires prolonged standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting, and lifting and carrying objects frequently weighing up to, and occasionally over, 45 pounds.

  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.

  • Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Demands

• Lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds

• Must be able to climb in and out of military vehicles and related equipment

• Must be able to stand for at least two continuous hours

• Must be able to work in cramped areas for at least two continuous hours

• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet
